I have been quite lucky to have had access to incredible mentors from the very beginning of my career as a therapist and trainer. This allowed me to learn: less is more, quality over quantity and consistency creates results.
As a therapist, I aim to acknowledge and support the resiliency you already have while together, explore the current challenges you are facing. As a trainer I also take a client-centered approach, listening to your goals, assessing thoroughly and developing an action plan moving forward. Whether we combine both disciplines or focus on one, I will be fully present and engaged to support your growth.
When working with Wellness Inspired, you have options to decide what is most important for your well being. Clients have the option of either doing talk therapy or movement training or combining both.
I focus on youth, adults and athletes who are struggling with anxiety, depression, motivation, stress and anger. My practice is unique in that I have the opportunity to combine talk therapy strategies with physical fitness programming or to offer therapy and training separately.
I have extensive training in Anti-Oppressive Practice, culturally informed counselling, mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Also, I am a licensed fitness/mobility coach with over nine years of experience ranging from working with the creator of the BOSU Ball, Nike, 360 Athletics and training varsity, provincial and national level hockey and soccer players.
My practice prioritizes meaningful relationships, establishing how you can become an active participant in your life- what is most important to your well being? There is no singular way to deal with mental health therefore, our professional relationship will guide the strategies we move forward with. The mind and body do not work separately, why should therapy and training? If you are ready to begin this opportunity, please reach out as I am ready and looking forward to it.
